As U.S. Navy vice admiral and Vietnam War hero James Stockdale once asked, “Who am I? Why am I here?”
I'm a content strategist, video producer, and an Atlanta-based actor of stage and screen. It's an odd combination, but it's to be expected when you grew up watching both the NBC Nightly News and Saturday Night Live!
My journalism career took me across the eastern United States and taught me how to report the news while managing high-pressure environments where deadlines could change at a moment's notice. The stories I've written and covered include the Casey Anthony murder trial, the collapse of Interstate 85 in Atlanta, and a rural Pennsylvania man who painted his animals orange.
The writing, storytelling, and project management skills I honed in journalism helped me transition to a marketing career in 2019. Being able to know what to say, where to say it, and how to say it paid off. My creative skills allowed me to create commercials and promotional videos that helped build brands and get positive attention, and my strategic knowledge allowed me to connect the dots between the message and the audience. I do it with a hands-on approach to strategy execution. In other words, I'm well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite and have proven experience in video production and editing.
Oh, about the acting? I've worked in independent film since 2019 in a variety of on-screen roles. I also appear on stage around Atlanta in theatrical productions, sketch comedy shows, and improvised comedy. It turns out improv is an underrated skill for content strategists!
